Alani was on a predicted ATAR of 94 in Year 11 but felt bored and under-engaged at school. She joined IDEA seeking more relevant and challenging learning experiences that could give her greater confidence in her post-school pathway.

At IDEA, Alani developed an idea for a mental health-focused social enterprise called Myst as part of her Certificate IV in Business. She completed two undergraduate units in Psychology at Curtin University on one of her flex learning days, and multiple micro-credentials. She received her early entry offer to Curtin University before graduating from IDEA.
